Saturday 5th Sept -Saturday 12th September 2009
Seven members and two support drivers undertook the ardous trek from Newcastle to Glasgow. (157 miles in 7 days)
They left the Tyneside Irish Centre on Saturday 5th September 2009 with 31 members supporting them for the first part
of the walk, to The Robin Hood Pub near Corbridge.
The aim was to raise funds for the
Evening Chronicle Sunshine Fund, NACC and the Tommy Burns skin cancer trust. All proceeds collated by Celtic Charity Fund
will be topped up by 25% (before gift aid calculations) and the cumulative amounts will be split equally between the nominated
charities.
