History of Tyneside No1 CSC
The Tyneside No1 Celtic Supporters' Club was formed in the summer
of 1989 by a group of supporters from the North East who had travelled by public transport to Celtic matches.
Now
20 years old, The Club has grown and has gone from strength to strength from 40 members to currently more than 150. We run
a bus to every home game and selected away games. A dedicated committee structure has resulted in annual trips to Europe and
America. Last season we were represented in Lisbon, Copenhagan, Milan, Benidorm, Hamburg, Guardamar & North America.
We have just celebrated our 20th Anniversary
with a dinner dance in the Assembly Rooms. It was a great success with members from far and near attending, including some
old faces of yesteryear. We had Lisbon Lion Jim Craig and his wife as well as Frank McAvennie. We also had the European Cup
and SPL trophy. Here's to the next 20 years.
A special commemoration page will be
created shortly, so if you want any photos added on it, please send me them to the club email address info@tynesideceltic.com Hail Hail
