Tyneside No1 CSC's AGM was held last Saturday and we had a good healthy turnout, so thanks for that and for everyones input into the running of the best CSC in the world. A full summary of the AGM will be published soon. The financial report is published on our 'Club News' page of the website. We would like to thank Chris Craig for his sterling work on the committee as he has now stepped down. We would like to welcome Jon Thomas in his place.

Members and friends of the Tyneside No1 CSC took part in The Paradise Walk from the Tyneside Irish Centre, Newcastle  to Celtic Park Glasgow. Seven members walked the entire route while others completed part of the route.
The aim was to raise funds for the Evening Chronicle Sunshine Fund, NACC and the Tommy Burns skin cancer trust. All proceeds were collated by Celtic Charity Fund topped up by 25% (before gift aid calculations)

History of Tyneside No1 CSC

The Tyneside No1 Celtic Supporters' Club was formed in the summer of 1989  by a group of supporters from the North East who had travelled by public transport to Celtic matches.

Now  20 years old, The Club has grown and has gone from strength to strength from 40 members to currently more than 150. We run a bus to every home game and selected away games. A dedicated committee structure has resulted in annual trips to Europe and America. Last season we were represented in Lisbon, Copenhagan, Milan, Benidorm, Hamburg, Guardamar & North America.

We have just celebrated our 20th Anniversary with a dinner dance in the Assembly Rooms. It was a great success with members from far and near attending, including some old faces of yesteryear. We had Lisbon Lion Jim Craig and his wife as well as Frank McAvennie. We also had the European Cup and SPL trophy. Here's to the next 20 years.

A special commemoration page will be created shortly, so if you want any photos added on it, please send me them to the club email address info@tynesideceltic.com Hail Hail
